July was a very hot month, the mean T values of which exceeded the normal values by 2 to 3.5 degrees Celsius over the whole country, due to the continuous transport of extremely hot air masses to Greece for a period of 15 days. As a result of that a significant heat wave recorded from 12th to 26th of July. The one characteristic was the very high Tmax values and the other one was the high Tmin values which climbed up to 30 degrees Celsius.
